Dounia Batma is a Moroccan singer and actress. She became famous worldwide as the runner-up in the first season of Arab Idol. The competition, which aired on MBC, is the Arabic version of Pop Idol. She lost to Egyptian contestant Carmen Suleiman. Batma is married to Mohamed Al Turk, who is the father of Bahraini singer Hala Al Turk.

Batma was born and raised in Hay Mohammadi, a district in Casablanca, Morocco. Her father, Hamid Batma, played for various musical bands, including Mesnawa and Nass El Ghiwane. Her uncle, Laarbi Batma, is the leader of Nass El Ghiwane. The band is a Moroccan fusion group that Martin Scorsese has called "Africa's Rolling Stones".
