Rock n Roll
Rock n Roll (Rock&Roll or Rock'n'Roll) is a popular music genre that arose in the United States in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Rock n Roll is one of the oldest genres of pop music.
This genre is derived from musical forms such as gospel, jump blues, jazz, Boogie Woogie, and Rhythm and Blues, as well as country music.
The piano or saxophone was usually the principal instrument in the early rock and roll forms. In the mid to late 1950s, guitar frequently replaced or augmented these instruments. The beat is primarily a dance rhythm with an emphasized backbeat, which is nearly typically produced by a snare drum. One or two electric guitars (one lead, one rhythm) and a double bass are typically used to play classic rock and roll (string bass). Electric bass guitars, such as the Fender bass, and drum kits became prominent in classic rock after the mid-1950s.
