Deep House genre
Deep house genre emerged in the 1980s, initially combining elements of Chicago house with jazz-funk and soul music.
Deep house genre is a subgenre of house music.
This genre is distinguished by tempos ranging from 110 to 125 beats per minute, muted basslines. It also includes extensive usage of percussive parts from Roland TR-909 drum machine, soft keyboard sounds (pads), sophisticated chord structures, atmospheric mixing, and soulful voices. Lyrics are typically focused on positive/uplifting topics or on more melancholy issues related to blues. The usage of vocals continued in deep house despite the fact that new kinds of house music frequently abandoned them.
