Rhythm and blues ( R&B - R&B - RnB - R n B ) is a popular music genre that originated in Afro American communities. In the 1980s, a newer form of R&B emerged, dubbed "modern R&B." It incorporates rhythm and blues, pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music influences.
