Rea Garvey is an Irish singer-songwriter, guitarist, and solo artist who presently lives in Germany.

Garvey has written songs for a range of artists, including Paul van Dyk, Jam and Spoon, Roger Cicero, and The BossHoss, as a solo artist.
Rea Garvey founded the band Reamonn in 1998. During Rea Garvey's 11 years as their frontman, they had chart-topping success in Europe, with a number of gold and platinum selling albums, including Tuesday, Dream No. 7, Beautiful Sky, Wish, and Eleven, as well as multiple sold out European tours. The band split up in 2011, following the publication of their best-of album "Eleven" and a best-of tour. [Citation required] Garvey used this opportunity to explore a solo career, which resulted in the release of his debut solo album, "Can't Stand the Silence." Garvey's move from anthem rock with Reamonn to alternative electro pop was evident on this record.
